FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions that come up most often.
What counts as a construction chemical?
Any product used to change how a building material performs: coatings, waterproofing membranes, sealants, adhesives, concrete admixtures, repair mortars, curing compounds and similar products.
Do you sell products?
No. This is a reference site. We explain how product families work so you can have a better conversation with a supplier or applicator.
Which coating should I use on my floor?
It depends on traffic, chemicals, moisture in the slab and how fast the room must reopen. Our floor coatings guide and how to specify page walk through the questions.
Why did my coating peel?
Most peeling comes from the surface, not the coating: moisture in concrete, contamination, a smooth finish or a missed recoat window. A qualified inspector can test the failed area to confirm the cause.
What does cure time mean?
Cure time is how long a product takes to reach its working properties. Data sheets often list separate times for walking, recoating and full service, and all of them shift with temperature and humidity.
